Obituary

William "Don" Donald Moran

William "Don" Donald Moran, age 81, of Ennis, Montana, passed away on August 26, 2026. Don was born on November 27, 1944, in Vancouver, Washington, to Jack and Elizabeth Moran.

Don grew up in Pleasant Hill, Oregon. In 1964, he proudly joined the United States Air Force and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War.

In 1965, Don married the love of his life, Bonnie Jean Burkhart. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their two sons, Matt and Tim. Don was a devoted husband, loving father, and wonderful friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Don had a natural talent for fixing things others couldn't. A gifted mechanic, he worked on everything from RVs and industrial equipment to airplanes. He also earned his commercial & instrument ratings as a pilot to fly his own plane a Mooney 213. A hobby that brought him great enjoyment along with family trips around the US and Mexico. Outside of work, Don had a passion for hot rods and loved spending time working on and enjoying them.

Don and Bonnie owned and operated Mobile RV Tech in Ennis. Before moving to Ennis, they owned and operated an industrial maintenance business. Through his work and his many talents, Don touched the lives of countless people and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Moran; his sons, Matt Moran and Jennifer, and Tim Moran and Erin; his sister, Pat Lee and Richard; his grandchildren, Shelby Moran, Tim Moran and Erica, Colby Moran, Cade Moran, and CJ Moran; and his great-grandchildren, Presley and one sweet baby girl who is expected to arrive any day. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close friends and family members who will cherish his memory and miss him dearly.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.
