Wannetta Birdsill

May 5, 1953 — January 15, 2026

Wannetta Renee Birdsill, born on May 5, 1953 in Pocatello, ID, painted the canvas of her life with the vibrant colors of love, faith, and creativity. A life filled with heartfelt laughter, captivating stories, and unforgettable melodies came to a peaceful conclusion on January 15, 2026. Wannetta was a woman of deep faith and an artist with a soul as beautiful as the poetry she penned.

Living most of her life in the idyllic landscapes of Montana, Wannetta's heart was rooted in the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of life. She moved to Lugoff, South Carolina in 2023 to be closer to her daughter, Kimberley Setzer. She continued to create art, to sing, and to delight in the study of her beloved Bible. She often said that her greatest achievement and joy were not in her professional accolades but in the love of her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

Wannetta was a beacon of love, illuminating the lives of those she left behind, particularly her devoted daughter, Kimberley Setzer (Jeremy) of Lugoff; son William Trent Poul of Washington State; sister, Wendy Radford of Lufkin, TX; and grandchildren, Avery Setzer, Madison Bartlebaugh (Stephen), and Anna Setzer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Cleo Jones Radford; brothers, Jerry Radford and Wayne Radford; and sister, Anna Mae Bates.

A gathering to celebrate Wannetta Birdsill's remarkable journey will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home, 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, South Carolina, 29078. A funeral service will be held at K&L Mortuary in Sheridan, MT with interment to be in Sheridan Cemetery, Sheridan, MT.
