After Dr. Nelson’s death, she joined a travel group of widowed women and traveled the world. She went on many wonderful trips and made lots of lifelong friends. As a member of the Global Grannies, she traveled from New Zealand to Russia, Africa to Alaska and everywhere in between. She rode in a hot air balloon over the savannas of Kenya and on the back of an elephant through the jungles of Thailand.
She was proceeded in death by both her parents, both husbands, grandson Jason Stevenson, sister Lola Cote, brother Oliver Kendall, and special friend Ellen Laknar.

Mom loved to bake cookies and sweet rolls for all of her kids. She was known for baking cinnamon twist rolls and delivering them to her friends’ businesses around Dillon. She also loved to work in her yard and flower gardens. They were the envy of her neighborhood.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2022, when the grass is green and the flowers are blooming.
