Robert Leland Graham, 90, passed away July 25th from a brief illness. He was born November 12, 1934 to Leland and Myrtle Graham in Iron Rod just south of Silver Star. The family moved to Silver Star, Mt with Bob at the age of 3. Bob graduated from Twin Bridges High School, Class of 1953. Bob's senior year, on Thanksgiving Day, they won the state football championship against Medicine Lake. He was an avid fan of the Twin Bridges Falcons, The Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and Boston Celtics. Many bets were made when Bob's cowboys were playing. In May of 1956 Bob served in the US Army at Fort Huachuca and was honorably discharged in May of 1958. On October 25th, 1958 he married Faye Winslow. Bob worked with O'keefe Drilling and Hamler Motors before purchasing the Ruby Valley Bowling Alley in Sheridan. Bob and Faye were blessed with 3 wonderful children - Dee Dee, Chet and Lisa. In July of 1980, Bob purchased the Blue Anchor Bar and Cafe in Twin Bridges, Mt. He owned and operated it for 23 years. He sold the Anchor on February 9th, 2004. Throughout the years Bob always had a Blue Anchor story to tell but we won't name names. In 1998 Bob and son Chet started Graham Drilling and after 37 years it is still in operation. Bob married Penny Caprara on June 25, 2011. They enjoyed 14 wonderful years together! They did a little traveling down to California and up the coast to Oregon, Washington and to Nevada. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and was the last survivor of 8 siblings. Bob so loved his many grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends. Too many to mention!! Bob is survived by his wife Penny, his 3 children, Dee Dee (Curt) Housman, Chet (Mary Pat) Graham, Lisa (Bo) Mailey. Step Children, Gary (Heather) Caprara, Mark (Lisa) Caprara, Vicki (Gregg) Ryequist, Vince (Rosa) Caprara and Craig (Colleen) Caprara. A service of remembrance will be held Sunday August 3rd at 1 o'clock at the Twin Bridges High School Gymnasium. There will be a reception at the Twin Bridges Senior Center following the Interment at the Silver Star Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Twin Bridges Falcons Athletic Department, Beaverhead County Humane Society or charity of donors choice. BOB, A LIFE WELL LIVED!
