Rickie D Parent, beloved son and brother, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025. Rick was born on May 27, 1955, to Milton (Mickey) and Molly Rollins Parent in Helena, MT. Rick served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.
Rick cared deeply for others and was always willing to help when he could. He valued kindness, independence, and doing what was right without seeking attention. He lived a life of quiet compassion and steady generosity toward those around him, never wanting to be a burden himself.
Rick's passion was his television, movies and history. Rick spent many hours watching historical documentaries. He loved having the most up-to-date equipment and truly relished it. Rick spent much of his time at Rainbow House in Billings and established many friends there.
Rick never realized how much he was loved and cared about. With the help of hospice and the caring staff at Laurel Nursing Home and Rehab as well as his family, Rick passed away peacefully.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Mickey & Molly Parent and his brother, Randy Parent. Rick is survived by his sisters, Robyn (Robert) Kuhr, Rhonda (Devin) Hobbs, Rene Parent, nieces, Amber Smith, Elizabeth Parent and Jennifer Hobbs and nephews, Michael Fox, Matt Whittle, Shawn Parent and Mickey Parent as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
We love you, Rick, and you will be missed by all.
