Matthew Robert Scott Weir

Matthew Robert Scott Weir, born March 13, 1978 to Margaret "Meg" Gifford and David Calder Scott Weir, in Denver, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly in his Montana home, Tuesday, February 24, 2026, leaving behind his family and friends.

Matt was a dedicated employee at SuperOne Foods in Helena, MT. He had a varied career in retail as well as health care. He was a loyal friend and a cherished son, nephew, brother and uncle.

Matt is preceded in death by his father, David, and aunt Kay Gifford. He is survived by his mother, Meg (Colorado); brother, Mark Weir (Colorado); nephew, Nate Weir (Colorado); aunts and uncles, Tim (Lynette) Gifford (Idaho), Susan Gifford (Montana), Pam (Lyonel) Roturier (Colorado), Bob (Alice Newman) Weir (Toronto, ON), Joan (David Murrell) Weir (Toronto, ON) and a wide circle of additional family and friends.
