Larry Kendall Beeney, known to many as "Cowboy Larry," passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on December 21, 1969, in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Larry served in the Navy Reserves before spending many years on the road as a semi-truck driver. He later became a mechanic, eventually turning his experience and skills into his own business, Bar B Bar Truck & Repair LLC.

Nine years ago, Larry moved to Whitehall,Montana and made it his home. He served on the local search and rescue team, helping others in times of need. He also loved working with and riding horses, and his nickname, "Cowboy Larry," reflected that part of his life.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Beeney; his mother, Violet Owens, born Violet Melvina Beeney; his sister, Eddie Reynolds; and his three grandchildren, Alexa Landeros, Nathaniel Landeros, and Logan Beeney. His family is also awaiting the arrival of Alexa's baby, his great-grandchild, due on Thanksgiving Day.

Larry will be remembered for his service, his skills as a mechanic, his love of horses, and the memories he leaves with his family and friends.

A memorial service for Larry will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at K & L Mortuaries in Whitehall, Montana.
