LaDonna Johnston
November 5th, 2025
Born LaDonna Marie Ross, a loved beyond words mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away on November 5th, 2025, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 46. She was surrounded by her best friends and closest loved ones.
She was born January 31st, 1979, to Steve Ross Senior and Rosemarie Jones, and grew up in Butte and Three Forks Montana. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Three Forks High in 1997. She had three children, who she loved beyond words, and who loved her the same in return. She raised them to be strong, kind, and accepting, and was a devoted mother who was always there for her children. She had a few different jobs throughout her life, and always took pride in any role she was given and gave 100%.
Growing up in Montana she fell in love with fishing, and carried that love with her all her life. Camping and fishing with family were some of her favorite times. She also loved crafting, and always had a project going on. From crocheting to refurbishing furniture, as well as candle making and designing her own hats and hoodies. She was always making something beautiful. Her last summer was spent creating these crafts and selling them with her daughter at the local farmers market.
She is survived by her mother, Rosemarie Jones, her father Steve Ross Senior and stepmother Ronny Ross, her brothers and sisters in law, Jesse and Alissa Ross and Steve and Sunshine Ross, her children Kloey, Kaleb and Harper, her grandmother, Lela McMichael, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
