Kim Jaye Hadman

Kim Jaye Hadman was born in Roseburg, Oregon, to Jaye and Wanda Short. She passed away on February 15, 2026, at Madison Valley Hospital in Ennis, Montana.

Kim graduated from Glide High School in Oregon in 1976. At 18 years old, she moved to Seattle, Washington, beginning the next chapter of her life.

In 1981, Kim married the love of her life, Brad Hadman, in a small ceremony held in his parents' living room in Graham, Washington. During their marriage, they were blessed with two sons, Rhett and Taylor, who were the pride and joy of her life.

In 1988, Brad and Kim founded Progressive Metal Craft, combining Brad's incredible talent for building race cars with Kim's business knowledge and determination. Together, they built a successful life on and off the racetrack. Kim later expanded the business into PMI Truck Bodies and Powder Coating, continuing to grow their legacy. In 2020, Brad and Kim retired and moved to Pony, Montana, to enjoy the next season of their lives.

Kim lived life to the fullest, but her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Her love for her family was unmatched, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Brad Hadman; her sister, Lisa (Denny) Miller; her brother, Patrick Short; her sons, Rhett Hadman and Taylor Hadman, and their spouses; her grandchildren; her niece Shannon (Matt) and their two beautiful daughters; and her beloved dog, Bull.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda; her father, Jaye; and her sister, Dana Short.

Though we greatly mourn the loss of Kim, we will always remember her love for life, her generosity, and her deep passion for history. Not a day will go by that she is not in our hearts and on our minds.
