Keith August Decker of Middleton, Wisconsin, was born on April 17, 1989 in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, to Roger and Sara Decker. He spent his childhood in Batesville, AR, Emmet, ID, and Pardeeville, WI, where he graduated from high school in 2007. Keith spent a year at Taylor University before graduating from Full Sail University with a degree in Game Development. He went on to a successful career developing video games to brighten the lives of others, with highlights that include building medical training systems for the University of Wisconsin and gaming exhibits at the Kennedy Space Center Museum in Florida. A major accomplishment of his career was rewriting and modernizing the core software for the interactive MagiQuest Adventure at Great Wolf Lodge Resorts.
Keith had a huge heart and a larger-than-life personality. He was a deep thinker who was an incredibly kind, thoughtful friend. Everyone who was lucky enough to know Keith will tell you that he gave the best hugs. He enjoyed football, which he played throughout his middle school and high school years. He also treasured his time playing volleyball with close friends and their families in the summers. Keith loved playing Warmachine and board games with friends and family. He was a creative, talented artist and he had a passion for music. An especially impactful time of his life was spent as a leader in a local Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) group, where he helped lead others to Christ through teaching 5-Day Clubs. Always the entertainer, Keith will be remembered for his humor and for his ability to make everyone around him feel seen and loved. He will be deeply missed.
Keith is survived by his parents, Roger and Sara Decker, his brother Ryan Decker, grandfather Robert Decker and grandmother Nancy Decker and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins with deep roots in Sheridan, Montana, where he will be laid to rest on December 19, 2025.
