Genevieve E. Swank

Genevieve Eva Swank entered into heaven March 4, 2022, her husband Dave, by her side. Born March 5, 1933 in Stockville, Nebraska the youngest of 15 children and the last surviving child of Orville and Mae Worley. Genny met and married Leland Callender in 1951. Together they had 3 children, Sharen, David and Tim. As a young wife and mother she was a wonderful homemaker and fierce mama to her children who she loved with every bit of her 4’11” frame. After divorcing Leland in 1967 she attended Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Ore. receiving a degree in Medical Assisting. Genny started her new career working for Dr. McGee in Salem then moved to Greeley, Co. where she worked for Dr. Sullivan until she retired from Medical Assisting in 1988. That same year she accepted a job working for a cemetery assisting families with all burial needs. During this time she met David Swank, they married Feb. 14, 1990 in Loveland, Co. The two settled in Sheridan, Mt. recently moving to Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center.

Genny leaves behind her husband Dave Swank. Children, Sharen Kisselman Lambert, Salem, Or., David (Carmella) Callender, Salem, Or., Tim (Cathy) Callender, Johnstown, Co. stepson Jed (Cindy) Swank. Grandchildren - Kent and Keith Kisselman, Amber and Jennifer Callender, Ashley Kapoor and Jacquelin VonBramer, stepgrandson Bryson Swank, and 6 great grandchildren.
