Delores Nichols

June 1, 1946 — June 21, 2025

Delores Arlene Wendland Nichols passed on June 21st, 2025. She had 10 siblings, son Liberty, and grandson Austin. Ted had a playing job at the Rockin-R-Bar, he showed up early and asked Dee what time to set up; Dee said, "You ain't playing yet?" They married in 1972. Their Band name was Change For A Dime. They played both kinds of music, country and western. Dee enjoyed many artsy hobbies: Comfort Quilt group, stain glass, painting, rode hogs to Sturgis motorcycle rally for 25 years, jewelry making, cut out and paint fancy wood figures, sewed matching band attire, freezer Jenga, qualified shooting an M1, golfing, bowling, camping, soft ball, snow birder, refurbished old work clothes, interior design, mixology, puzzler, cards, avid holiday decorator, extension club, VW and golf cart mechanic. Everywhere they went, they were the cool kids everyone wanted to be with. Dee knew how to throw a party; everybody's birthday was special. An accomplished singer and musician: piano, bass guitar, steel guitar, accordion, saxophone, dobro, and (violin not so much.) Her many jobs included being a Homemaker, Librarian, School board, Rockin-R, Topper, Walmart in MT and AZ, Liquor store, and The Caboose. Loved by many and missed by all.

The family will be gathering to honor Dee's life on July 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm on Dee's Deck in Three Forks, MT.

It's not just the family that grieves when someone who has touched so many lives. Our heart is saddened for you too.
