Anneliese Petersen

Ann Petersen (Zeidler) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was 94 years old. She is predeceased by her dearly beloved husband of 67 years Matt Petersen, sisters Hilda and Sophie, daughter Frances and granddaughter Shawna.



Ann was born to Georg and Fransiska Zeidler in Nurnberg, Germany on April 22, 1928. She was the youngest daughter and was quite spoiled by all. After living through World War II, Ann met an American solider at a local dance. Matt and Ann married in October 1948 and left Germany for the United States shortly thereafter where they eventually settled in Sheridan, Montana where they raised their family. Ann worked for many years at the Madison Valley Nursing Home where she was a good coworker and friend. As a wife, mother and grandmother she was the best. She enjoyed cooking and baking and the entire family looked forward to her Christmas cookies every year.



She leaves behind her son Keith (Susan), grandchildren Bobbie, Kevin (Amy), Christine (John), Teresa (Nick), Shawn and Steve, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. We will all miss her greatly.



Friends and family are invited to a funeral service on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:00AM at K&L Mortuaries, 47 E. Poppleton Street, Sheridan, MT with a graveside service following in Lauren, MT.
