Obituary

Ada Marlene Cooper

Ada Marlene Cooper, 74, of Sheridan, Montana, passed away on August 31, 2026, in Bozeman, Montana.

Ada was born on February 27, 1952, in Toppenish, Washington, to Louis and Ada Adamson. She was raised alongside her two sisters, Delia Naillon and Alta Bennett.

On November 20, 1967, Ada married Rickey Cooper in Toppenish, Washington. They shared 58 years of marriage and together raised four children: Jennifer, Raymond, Amy, and Forrest.

She was a talented and creative woman who enjoyed many different crafts throughout her life. Ada enjoyed crafting handmade items from blankets, to clothes, to hand-carved ornaments. She was a master of wood carving, sewing, needle felting, tole painting, and would often be found working in her craft room on gifts for her family or an upcoming bazaar.

Ada also had a great interest in genealogy and devoted many years to researching and documenting her family's history. She carefully compiled detailed records for her loved ones, leaving behind a lasting family legacy for future generations.

Ada is survived by her loving husband, Rickey; her four children, Jennifer, Raymond, Amy, and Forrest; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Delia Naillon and Alta Bennett; and numerous extended family members and friends.

A funeral service for Ada will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 3560 MT-287, Sheridan, Montana 59749. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, burial will take place at Sheridan Cemetery.

Ada will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her creativity, devotion to her family, and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind.
